The C500 was bought to replace another camera from a different brand that had failed after 7 years.
Out of the box and before installing in the final location, the camera was powered up and put on line without problem. The Annke Vision app was then used to turn off DHCP and set a static IP address to conform to the structure in the local network.
The app was also convenient for setting up the higher resolution as the camera was set for 1080P initially.
After that, the old camera was removed and the C500 was put in its place. Minor point, the cable on the C500 was about 20-30cm shorter than the original, so some network and power cable repositioning took place - fortunately both cables had sufficient slack to allow this without problem.
Once in place, the new camera was set up within the iSPY app running on the security PC, an operation which took just a couple of minutes.
Overall, very simple to install with excellent quality of both video and audio.

very good little cameras

I've been shopping around and have tried 4 different camera brands by now. I will use them for frigate and Home Assistant when I move into my new home.
This camera ticks all the boxes. It has a good quality picture, and the configuration tools are really simple in comparison to other brands. Added bonus, the camera has H.264 encoding option - which works perfectly.
If I need any more IP cameras, I'll definitely be going with more Annkes. They are top quality, and actually cheaper than some others I tried.

This is an excellent camera for the money.
I choose it over a hikvision branded version, but it is still of the same overall quality.
I only need it for indoors, so could accept the risk of possible reduced quality.
I am not disappointed.
When plugged into my hikvision NVR, it was recognised as a hikvision camera.
Would highly recommend.

It was hard to find a camera without WiFi, but this does the job very well
